K-1st Grade: Sprout Ball
Movement Concepts and Themes – space awareness, level, direction
Body Management Skills – coordination, balance, flexibility
Motor Skills – running, sliding, skipping
Manipulative Skills – throwing, catching
We will be working on group fitness as a whole class. Students will play various forms of sprout ball with many movements.
2nd-4th Grade: Frisbees and Golf
Movement Concepts and Themes – space awareness, level, direction, planes
Body Management Skills – coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, balance
Motor Skills – running, sliding, skipping, jumping, stretching, balancing
Manipulative Skills – throwing, catching
We will be working on group fitness as a whole class and within small groups. We will combine concepts of golf and apply it to frisbee golf. The students will learn the proper grip, stance, and swing for golf and get plenty of repetitions hitting various irons.
Secondary: Golf and Frisbee Golf
Warm up: Jog around the field
Fitness: Stretch with a partner
Skill Development: Learn grip, stance, swing as it relates to golf. We will learn the differences in irons and the trajectory of the ball based on the club. Work on accurate throws with a Frisbee. Learn the rules and common terminology behind golf.
